Terms & Conditions
1) Scope & Contracting Party
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all purchases of digital eBooks (“Products”) from Aetheric Books, operated by Ilyas Kayihan, Untere Reutenenstr. 3, 5210 Windisch, Switzerland. By ordering, you agree to these Terms.
2) Eligibility & Customer Types
We sell to consumers worldwide. If you purchase as a business, you represent you have authority to bind that entity. You must be at least 18 (or have parental consent) and legally able to enter contracts under your local law.
3) Product Nature (Digital Content)
All Products are digital downloads (no physical shipping). File formats and device compatibility are stated on the product page. See section 9 for technical requirements.
4) Prices, Taxes & Currency
Prices are shown in CHF and include taxes where required by law. For customers outside Switzerland, sales/VAT/GST may be added at checkout or collected by your local authority. Any bank or conversion fees are borne by you.
5) Order Process & Contract Formation
Placing Products in the cart is not binding. A contract is concluded when we confirm your order (checkout page). We may reject orders for legitimate reasons (e.g., suspected misuse, pricing errors).
6) Payment Methods
We accept Shopify Payments,VISA and credit card, PayPal. Your payment provider’s terms apply. Access to the download is granted after successful payment authorization.
7) Delivery & Access (Digital Download)
Delivery is digital only. Download links are provided immediately after purchase on the confirmation page. If you do not receive the download link within a few minutes, contact aethericbook@gmail.com.
8) Licence Grant & Usage Restrictions
Upon purchase, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download and use the eBook for your own use on your devices.
You may not: resell, share, upload publicly, redistribute, or make the content available to third parties; circumvent technical protection; or use the content for unlawful purposes. All intellectual property remains with us or our licensors.
9) Technical Requirements
You need (a) an internet connection for download, (b) a compatible device, and (c) a standard PDF/ePub reader (or app). We recommend saving a backup copy for your personal use.
10) Right of Withdrawal / Cancellation

Switzerland: There is no statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases under Swiss law. We may offer goodwill refunds at our discretion (see section 11).

EU Consumers: You generally have a 14-day withdrawal right for distance contracts. Exception for digital content not on a tangible medium: your right does not apply once performance begins after you (i) gave prior express consent to start delivery immediately and (ii) acknowledged the loss of the withdrawal right, and we confirmed this on a durable medium (e-mail/receipt). We collect this consent at checkout via an unticked checkbox.

Outside EU/CH (e.g., USA): Local mandatory consumer rules may apply in your country. These Terms do not limit such mandatory rights.
Model consent text for your checkout:
“I expressly request immediate access to the digital content and acknowledge that I lose my 14-day right of withdrawal once the download or streaming begins.”
11) Refunds & Defects in Digital Content
If a file is defective or the download link does not work, contact aethericbook@gmail.com within 14 days and describe the issue (order number, device, error message). We will provide a new link or a replacement file.
Where applicable, EU consumers have rights under the Digital Content Directive (EU) 2019/770 regarding conformity and remedies. These rights are mandatory and unaffected by these Terms.
12) Fair Use & Anti-Abuse
We may limit re-downloads or device activations to prevent abuse. If we detect unusual activity (e.g., mass-sharing), we may suspend access while investigating.
13) Intellectual Property
All eBooks and related materials are protected by copyright and other IP laws. Any use beyond the licence in section 8 requires prior written permission.
14) Promotions, Bundles & Gift Cards
Promotions are time-limited and subject to stated conditions. Gift cards (if offered) are non-refundable unless required by law.
15) Third-Party Services
Payment, analytics, newsletter or download delivery may be provided by third parties (e.g., Shopify, payment processors). Their terms may apply in addition to ours.
16) Export Controls & Sanctions Compliance
You represent that you are not located in, or a resident of, any country or on any list where transactions are prohibited under applicable Swiss, EU, UK, or US sanctions/embargo laws. We may refuse service where legally required.
17) Liability & Warranty (Digital Content)
We provide the Products with reasonable skill and care. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude implied warranties and limit liability for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or for injury to life, body, or health, or deprives consumers of mandatory statutory rights (including EU consumer rights).
18) Governing Law & Jurisdiction
Swiss substantive law applies, excluding conflict-of-laws rules; mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected.
If you are a consumer with habitual residence in the EU/EEA/UK, you may bring claims in your local courts as required by consumer law. Otherwise, exclusive venue is [Zurich, Switzerland].
19) Dispute Resolution Information
The EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025; no link is required. Please contact us directly at aethericbook@gmail.com for any issues.
20) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect legal or technical changes. The version in force at the time of your order applies to that order. Material changes will be announced with reasonable notice.
